Afkar.de: a new website is released

I have started to make a magazine that contains Christian articles and was distributed in our local church. Now it is online under that domain Afkar.de

It is an interesting thing to be a part of a group and contributing to this group with something of value. If this is interesting, then serving the Lord is even more interesting and much more meaningful.

As all other things, this magazine started as a small initiation and needed much nurturing. Since people here seem not to be much of a writer, and I am one of them, then it all fell on the one who is doing the publishing. But to my surprise, when I first announced about the subject, I got much more attention than I was expecting. Many people like to participate and showed an eager to do so. Even many of the participation was bringing an article from here or there, but it is a good start the way I see it.

Soon many of our church members started giving me advices and participations through articles they loved and all with much encouragement and enthusiasm in reading. This is much more that I needed as an encouragement specially that its purpose is to serve the Lord.

I believe that everyone has something to say. They learn things from life and like to share it. By bringing this idea to the spiritual realm, then this eagerness grows tenfold. Many things I found out to be the right thing to do I also found it written in the Bible and even in a better way. This is where I started to realize how realistic and applicable to life the Bible is. Actually, it is the only thing that is applicable to life, and we have our common sense to show it. Things like how to treat each other and how to deal with situations are already found in the Bible.

I lately stumbled on a book called "I don't have enough faith to be an Atheist" (link to audio book torrent) which deals with the proof of validity of the Christian faith alone using pure logic and without referring to the Bible. It showed how logical the Bible is and that Christianity is the least religion that needs faith because it is all logical and only little faith is required. So reading things from the Bible is much better that reading stuff from a scientific book that deals with a similar subject because such books are made by people who only speculate and their trustworthy is under question.

Anyway, the magazine is online now and I can share it with my friends worldwide and I will be working on it with my fellow church members to make it bigger and more useful to all people so that it will deliver the message of Jesus Christ to them to strengthen their belief and to make believers out of the non-believers.

For those of you who don't know Arabic I regret to say that this magazine Afkar.de is written in the Arabic language. So either learn Arabic (it is easy I think :) ) or translate it using Google or Altavista.
