Can't fit in a car, so got a caravan

My father got anew car that was so convinient for us to go picnic. The car was a mini-van and all was so great because we wanted that car so badly.

Can't fit in a car, so got a caravan.

It is time that my dad got his mini-van. Last Tuesday was the day after a long wait to get this new machine. Now we can finally go for a trip with all the family members in one car; and comfortably.

We used to fit all in one car. But like normal people, we grew. The relatively spacious Mercedes became more like a Volkswagen beatle now. Maybe taking two cars to make a trip sounds feasible, but when considering going to a long trip or cross the border, this idea is no obsolete. It was months since my dad took this decision to buy a caravan, but it seems almost impossible to get one that is clean and reasonably priced. So he asked a car dealer to get one directly from Europe. This is a guarantee to a certain degree that the car is in good shape. For sure it is a second hand car, since the price would be much cheaper with only few years of usage.

But it seamed that this car dealer works on diesel. This means he is so slow. It only took him few months to get the car from mars ... I mean Europe. He did say he would get it it on Thursday, but it is our mistake to ask which Thursday. Silly us. We were very disappointed to get it on a Tuesday, though.

Since it is here now, all is forgotten. The car is a chevvy, with 7 seats, all automatic. It even got a satellite cell unit imbedded in it. But surely enough, it only works in USA and Canada (did I say we got the car from Europe?). We did spend few hours discovering the car and how to use the stuff in it. Yea I know I could simply have read the manual, but I only had to know how to turn the inside lights on so I can read anything in the dark (yes it was dark when I first saw the car). Since I am the geek of the house, so it is my responsibility to set the radio clock (what a mission).

Now we only have to test it in the real world, where there is a long trip to go. At last we can enjoy a ride without being squeezed. But as usual, everything got its own drawbacks. We now have 6 cars in the house and only one parking place that can squeeze two cars in. The rest will have to be scattered all over the place around the building.
